Sarah Wong was voted BEST BLOG by Look Magazine for her blog "Temporary Secretary". Now she's taken the time to answer a few of our questions and we just love her refreshing honesty. Not everyone admits to trying every fashion faux pas! (well ok, we've all been there at one time or another!). We always love to find out a bit more about fashion bloggers (ok we're a bit nosey) but don't you also want to know what someones most expensive buy is? Or what's on their wish list? We do!
What is your favourite style icon / style icons?
At the moment, I don’t really have a style icon. I haven’t immersed myself in pop culture for a long time (I’m becoming a bit of an old fart!), but I’m not so easily influenced these days. It has been a long time since I looked up to someone and get that “She’s wearing that so I must go out and buy it straight away!” feeling. However, I do admire Kate Middleton’s style, she’s beautiful and so elegant.
What should a blog have to get your attention?
A nice design that’s easy on the eyes, and gorgeous photography!
How would you describe your clothing style?
I always find it difficult to answer this as I don’t really have a set style. When I was younger, I was a little sporty, and when I was at uni, I liked vintage clothing. I usually dress in clothes that suit my body shape, and size and I’d say that I dress in an androgynous style most days and then on a night out, I like the girly frocks!
What trend did you never really understand?
I appreciate all trends and have tried most fashion faux pas myself!
Which item in your wardrobe has a special memory?
Definitely the bridesmaid’s dress I wore at my sister’s wedding, I love it!!!
Your favorite piece of clothing right now:
I am loving my Topshop jumper at the moment, it is blue with red hearts all over it.
What do you look at first in someones outfit when you meet them for the first time?
I don’t know why but shoes always stand out for me. I always notice the shoes first!
What is your most expensive purchase?
Apart from my laptop, I saved up and bought a Mulberry satchel a few years ago. I haven’t bought anything as expensive as that before and I haven’t done it again since! I love my bag and have got so much wear out of it, but the buyers remorse got to me!
What is currently on your wishlist?
A long sleeved leather jacket is on my wish list at the moment. I’ve got a cropped one with three quarter length sleeves so I can’t wear it during winter, it’s far too cold. A leather jacket is always a good investment!
Thanks so much Sarah for doing this interview.:)
