Here we've got an interview with Sarah Bailey. She's the blogger and owner of Life in a Break Down and UK Bloggers. We're so happy that she's taken the time to answer our questions. Here you can read of her troubles and how she's overcome them with blogging. It's an inspirational read and yes we can all agree, that comfy PJ's have to be in the must-have wishlist! :)
1. Why did you start blogging?
I was having a bad time in life, after thinking things were on the 'up' I had been given my diagnoses of Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and I just gave up - I let my mental health get worse and suffered a relapse which left me in a place where even getting off the sofa to make a cup of tea, was too much. To try and get myself better I started Life in a Break Down as a way to plot the good things every day, I would never have guessed how much it would have helped me and how it would flourish.
2. What would you like to accomplish with your blog?
I would love to make it a place that I can call not only my hobby, but my job, as while I will likely never be able to work a 9 - 5 blogging lets me work on good days and relax on the bad. It makes me feel like I have a purpose in life and that I can be a contributing human to society and not on the scrap heap!
3. How would you describe your clothing style?
Comfy and cosy - one of the downsides of the Fibromyalgia is even my skin can feel sore some days so the days of wearing jeans most of the time are long gone, at the moment I'm favouring maxi dresses and peg leg trousers with elasticated waists, this year I have come to love vibrant colours, something which even last year I wouldn't have dreamt of wearing.
4. Where do you get your inspiration from?
Anywhere and everywhere - I have been lucky enough to have some wonderful things drop into my inbox through blogging and I have found new brands to love, of course I read a lot of other blogs and a lot of inspiration comes from there - as well as late night online shopping trips with a blogger friend.
5. What do you like to do for fun besides blogging?
I love swimming and thankfully although a lot less than once, I can still swim a little. I love photography - I'm not good, but I enjoy trying to see more of what is around me and capturing that one moment.
6. Name 5 ultimate must-haves.
- Perfume - even on the worst day I have to have some on, I have around 5 bottles on the go at the moment but I love Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb.
- Face wipes.
- Crazy socks.
- Comfy PJs.
- A Great Moisturiser.
7. What is currently on your wish list (clothing item from Fashiola)?
To go with a theme I seem too often keep up it has to be this top.
