Summer’s arriving shortly, and even though it’s not quite here yet, it’s time for my summer wardrobe refresh. Even though I’m of course having a close look at my summer dresses, shorts and tops, shoes are the really exciting part. If you’re like me (hoarding summer shoes that might not fit any more because of sentiment.. don’t tell me I’m the only one), you’re in a real need of a summer shoes edit. What are the best picks for summer? This depends of course on your personal taste, but there are some designs that never go out of style. And for a hoarder like me, there’s nothing that can top that.
Timeless summer shoes designs
Buy them, wear them, throw them away, buy a new pair - summer sandals are the epitome of comfy and style in one. For the minimalists, wear them in brown or black for that timeless vibe. For the statement lovers, try violet or army green for an instant eye catcher. Heeled or flat, summer sandals have always had a place of honour in my shoes wardrobe. They fit with every kind of outfit you’re planning, whether it’s with a maxi dress or a pair of culottes and a breezy blouse.

Once a boot lover, always a boot lover
Guilty as charged, I can’t miss my booties, not even in summer. Cut out ankle boots are my go-tos during the summer time when I want to add a bit of an edge to my look. Whether with open or closed toe, cut out ankles will be eternally one of my favourite pair of summer shoes. I love wearing them with a tunic dress for quite the contrast, or a pair of wide leg trousers and a body. Call me insane, but a pair of boots just give me that extra boost of confidence.. and who doesn’t want that (even in a 30+ degree weather)?
